The Masonic Community Foundation Award Ability Bow £6000

In further good news we would like to thank you for voting for us in the Masonic Community Foundation Awards enabling us to secure £6000. As part of Freemasonry’s 300th anniversary celebrations, the Masonic Charitable Foundation have distributed three million pounds to 300 charities across the country, and Ability Bow is one of those to recieve a grant. This money will be spent on our core service or 'One to One' service. What that means is helping more people who are referred to Ability Bow to receive ‘one-to-one’ personalised gym sessions. Each session costs us £70 which we do not pass on to our members, charging the user just £4.50.

Each year we need to raise over £250,000 to maintain this vital service –  Ability Bow is the only gym of its kind in inner London. We get support from various charitable trusts, and national funders. Gym members contribute a small sum towards the cost of their sessions and we generate more funds in all sorts of ways; bake sales, community events, sponsored sporting events etc ; awards like this are one of the ways to help fill the pot.

To carry on supporting disabled people to live richer, more active lives we need all the help we can get. In order to develop the number of people we reach, Ability Bow will continue to look to our supporters and friends to vote for us in schemes like this. We know it takes a few clicks and we really appreciate you doing it .
