We have been asking some of our gym users to tell us why they like coming to the gym and what they think of Ability Bow.
Brian came to Ability Bow as a referral from his GP. When he arrived, Brian was committed to doing the one-to-one exercise sessions but he didn’t look forward to it much. He knew that exercise would be good for him, but he didn’t have the exercise bug like he does now. He is now a very enthusiastic exerciser and he comes to the gym independently 4 times a week.
“I am 48 years old. Since birth I have spina bifida, hydrocephalus (water on the brain) and I am diabetic. I gained a lot of weight due to being bed ridden over the past few years. I have been in and out of hospital with infections a lot, but not so much this year.
I was referred to Ability Bow by my doctor and my aim is to get rid of my crutches and to lose weight. My first impression was that it’s a brilliant set-up, the instructors are great and you are never alone, unlike in other places.
I am much more motivated and not as bored. I have targets that I will achieve!”
