Siji before and after
The reports from my GP are glowing and my diabetes nurse couldn’t contain her joy! My MS consultant was also very impressed.

I joined Ability Bow in 2012. I have MS and diabetes and both are incredibly well managed but they weren’t always…….

I came as a referral as I was under the Royal London hospital for 6 months for my MS; once I was discharged from there I was referred to Ability Bow. After my 10 one-to-one sessions I was working out independently. Originally coming 3 days a week and after two years I increased to 5.

My diabetes is now totally controlled through diet and exercise and although my MS is progressive it hasn’t actually progressed in recent years! I accredit all this to my exercise and lifestyle regime; I was advised to lose the weight by my consultant; I’ve gone from 17 stone to 10! And it has had a dramatic effect on my health.

I trained my mind as well as my body, I told myself I can do it, my body then followed. I believe your goals should be SMART – Specific, Measurable, Achievable and Time – based! I come nearly every day to the gym at AB and if ever I can’t I make sure to exercise at home. I could do my routine outside of the gym but I choose to come here; the moral support and social aspect keep me coming!  My routine has become a habit and Ability Bow has become my second home thanks to the friendly staff and atmosphere.

The reports from my GP are glowing and my diabetes nurse couldn’t contain her joy! My MS consultant was very impressed reiterating that so much can be done for my condition just by losing weight. I shall continue to attend Ability Bow which has benefited me in my weight loss and therefore management of my conditions.
