Ability Bow responds to news that 2020 London Marathon as a mass event is cancelled

Disappointing news for charities and runners, but at least it provides some awaited clarity which can only be a good thing!

Following being postponed for 6 months because of Covid-19, it is announced that the mass event will be pushed back to October 2021, and an exclusive crowd-free race will be staged for elite athletes only, on 4th October 2020.

If you're running for Ability Bow or another charity, your place will defer to a future race (2021,2022 or 2023). You'll also be able to take part in a virtual 26.2 miles event from home and still raise funds for your charity.

We will email all of our runners over the next few days. Read the full statement from Virgin Money London Marathon here

Thank you to everyone for your support so far. We appreciate your effort in fundraising and training hard especially during a time when no one knew if the race was going to take place. The impact of the event being pushed back has been a big loss for Ability Bow particularly during the pandemic when our services are needed more than ever.
