Improve your mental wellbeing

Our Positive Steps programme encourages people with depression, anxiety and other mental health problems to exercise. Evidence has proven that exercise is very beneficial to our mental health. It is believed that exercise releases chemicals in our brain that make us feel good.

If you exercise regularly you can boost your self esteem, it helps you concentrate, look, sleep and feel better. The Positive Steps project provides you with at least 3 one-to-one sessions with one of our great instructors, and then when you feel ready (it may take more than 3 sessions) you can come along to our Monday afternoon group sessions.

Sometimes if you have mental health issues you can feel very isolated. Being part of a group gives you a chance to socialise and get out of the house. If you don’t want to join in the group sessions that’s ok too! We are really flexible and want what works for you.
