We've Hit The Headlines Again (Thanks Roman Road London!)

For the second week running, our service and its members have been highlighted in local media, thanks to a fantastic feature from our editorial friends at Roman Road London!

Editorial Assistant April Kosky and the team's Digital Director, Tabitha Stapeley, visited us twice at our gym in the past two weeks to interview our director and founder Victoria Kent and one of our members, Jeffrey Mcneshie, and, take a fun team photograph in the gym (capturing a fair few beaming smiles and creative poses - as well as our nice new uniform - in the process).

Daring Diana Completes Awesome Charity Abseil For Our Gym

A fantastic friend of Ability Bow has generated more than £2,000 for our gym, following an awesome abseil challenge scaling Church Langley Water Tower in Essex this May.

Diana Jones took part in the daring fundraiser - which involved a 110  feet 'free-fall' down the tower known as the Goblet for its shape - on behalf of one of her friends who currently attends our gym.

Vital Volunteers: Meet Sarah and Tim

As it's just past national Volunteering Week, we chat to a couple of our vital Ability Bow volunteers Sarah and Tim and see the difference they make for our charity; as well as showing how you can get involved too! Sarah's up first, though you can also read about our volunteer Tim further down the page!

Meet Sarah

Meet Sarah Hall-Craggs. From volunteer gym instructors to I.T. support, we’re always searching for more valuable skills and experience our volunteers like Sarah can bring to Ability Bow.

Fantastic First Films Created By Dynamic Local Trainees For Our Gym

Some of London’s newest talented film trainees have created some stunning videos documenting the Ability Bow gym in what is their first ever attempt at film making.

Trainees at the Bethnal Green-based Four Corners each produced separate pieces earlier this year as part of its annual six week-long ZOOM programme, with its young trainees helping to capture the lives and work of Ability Bow gym users and staff.

Fans Drum Up The Dosh For Gym's Avalanche Survivor Graham

An Ability Bow gym user who spent 10 days in a coma fighting for his life after an avalanche accident has received an extra £1,300 for his fundraising campaign for our gym from worldwide fans of the late, great electronic music producer, Marcus Intalex (pictured centre, alongside Graham (right) and their friend, Jonny (left)).

Terrific Ten-Up For Si Mohamed At Ability Bow

Our outstanding operations manager Si Mohamed Dahiri is celebrating a terrific 10 years at our Ability Bow gym!

Si Mohamed, who has worked in various roles at inner London's only disability and long-term health conditions gym - including past functions as a fitness instructor and deputy manager - joined Ability Bow in May 2008 after a previous stint as an estate agent and completion of a GP exercise referral qualification while working as fitness manager at Kings College Student Union.
